Experience:
Dr. Wang has been an active researcher in nano-photonics, RF photonics, optical interconnects, and optical sensing in the past eight years. He joined Omega Optics Inc. in 2007 and has served as the PI for four SBIR/STTR Phase I and three SBIR/STTR Phase II projects, and Co-PI for three SBIR Phase I projects from NSF, AFOSR, DARPA, ARMY, EPA and NIH. Dr. Wang has one U.S. patent, over 50 publications in refereed journals and conferences. He is a committee member of the 2010, 2011 SPIE Photonic West conference in Optoelectronic Interconnects and Component Integration. In 2006, his work on suppressing the cross talk of polymer optical switches was reported as break news in LIGHTWAVE Europe magazine. His research on SOI based optical switch was evaluated as the 2003 Excellent Master Dissertation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang is a member of IEEE LEOS, SPIE and OSA. Dr. Wang is a Permanent Resident of the United States.
