Dr.Wei Jiang obtained his M.A. degree in physics from the University of Texas at Austin, and Ph.D. degree of Electrical Engineering in optoelectronic interconnects from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. Dr. Wei Jiang has been an active researcher in fiber optics and integrated photonics research for the past several years. He has also worked on polymer channel waveguides, integrated photonics, and nano-optics. His recent interest is to utilize photonic crystals and photonic crystal waveguides to perform beam deflection and wavelength-division-multiplexing functions for fiber-optic communication applications.
